Progress In Media Studies
This term in Media Studies, we chose as an idea for our project to make a website. For our website, we chose to do it on the topic of 'Pewdiepie'.  The topic of Pewdiepie is a pretty broad topic, but we have so far covered where he is from, and we are currently working at the moment on how he started out.  We decided to do this website on Pewdiepie because we feel like he is a very inspirational person, not only for children but for adults as well. For the first 8 weeks of this term, we were planning out ideas that we could on our website. These ideas included, what kind of information we should add about Pewdiepie. That's what we were doing for the majority of the time because it surprisingly hard to come up with ideas for that. But we eventually thought of a few ideas that we could add into the website. For this project, it hasn't really been one person doing it all. Each person in this group has contributed something to this website, whether its them writing stuff on the website, or them just putting out their input to help us out. Overall, I think that so far we are on track to actually make an alright website.

Designing A Mars Lander

In the Robotics module we have been learning about Mars. Here are some of the things we learn't!
Here are some of the facts I learn't

A Bit About Mars
The oldest meteorite from mars is ALH84001, The meteorite is 4.1 Billion years old, Basaltic meteorites are known as shergottites, Days on Mars are 24.6 Hours long, Mars has a thin atmosphere, Mars has two moons their names are Phobos and Deimos, Years on mars are 687 days
Another thing we did was Virtual Mars Yard, Virtual Mars Yard is where we give our Mars lander commands to follow so it moves around. we can almost make certain ones change it size. Lastly we could also look through its camera and looks at certain spots by changing the angle.

One of the most interesting task we did was using a Sphero. Firstly we had to type out our code onto an iPad to control the sphero. Next we had to test it to see if had worked properly. What the code actually does is to tell the sphero to make it’s LED green and move forwards, then turn the LED red and stop, finally it would turn 90 degrees and do it again until it formed an entire square.

A bit about InSight!
The InSight robot was designed to discover the inside of mars rather than just look at the surface or terrain. They want to see inside Mars, InSight also carries a special monitor to measure seismic waves. It has a special heat flow and physical probe, it will drill into the ground to a depth of sixteen feet. It then uses the drill to measure the thermal rate. The monitor that measures the seismic waves also needs to stay still so it can get accurate seismic data.
Hypothesis
We still need to do a lot of work, I don’t fully think it will work the way I want it too, meaning it won’t turn well. But I do think that we can make it go back and forwards.

Today in class we used trinket to make a game. We had to use code to make our spaceship move through space. This was the first time I had used code to make to move with the keyboard but I picked it up really quickly. We also had to code png and jpgs into the game which was new for me as well so it was a good learning experience.

Football Formation Challenge

Today in class I used python to code to make my football players. I had to code in their position which took a while, but it was a bit easier because in math we had learn't the x,y axis before, which is what we had to use to move them. We also had to change the colours of our players. The final thing we had to code was the names of our players. With the names we had to name them with the correct position, it looked like this "Forward" or "Fullback".

This is an example of the code drawPlayer("red",60,120,"Goal Keeper")
